Prestigious awards for St Giles Trust staff

Two of our staff members have received accolades in recognition of their dedication and commitment.

Lee Dutton, Senior Caseworker in St Giles Trust Cymru, received a Butler Trust Commendation for his work with young people, ex-offenders and disadvantaged families. A reformed former prisoner himself who “never gives up on anyone” according to his colleagues, Lee was commended for his skilled and empathetic work helping people who are often facing homelessness, poverty, gang involvement and addiction. Lee was presented his award by HRH The Princess Royal at St James’s Palace.

Also up for a gong was SOS+ Project Facilitator Desmond Skyers who was awarded Youth Worker of The Year Award from Broxbourne Council. Des works in the county preventing young people in Broxbourne from becoming involved in offending, violence and gangs.
